“This project reclaims that there are very diverse ways to wear a woman’s body, to belong to any kind of ethnic group or determined culture, to feel part of a place, a territory (with everything that this implies) and to inhabit another place without forgetting where we came from or where we are headed. Reclaiming that, maybe, I am neither from there nor from here, I neither feel more feminine nor masculine, but I decide to inhabit the frontier in order to create my own world view, which is just as legitimate as any other”

PROYECTO CONJUGACIONES is a stage piece which originates from the necessity of Natalia Jiménez to share with the public questions revolving around the complex process of identity construction. To do that, she has generated a dialogue between professionals from the fields of anthropology, video art and dramaturgy in order to elaborate a political discourse which reclaims the expressive power of the body. These dialogues have resulted in three stages pieces which draws on the pleasure of walking the frontier of the relationship performer - audience, accentuating the thematic axes of the project: inhabiting the frontier, the non - normative and the concept of subjectivity.
